Since founding Adams Design in 1990, Brenda has consistently produced and led award-winning work in many areas of advertising and design. She is dedicated to creating client success through high-quality, intelligent, on-target creative. Her 35 years experience as an ad agency art director and designer and partner in an advertising/PR firm in Dallas, coupled with her years of experience in Boston ad agencies and at the helm of her own firm, have given Brenda great depth of creative experience as well as expertise on the sales and account sides of a project.
Brenda has led the creative team and won awards from the Dallas Tops Awards, Print’s Regional Design Annual Southwest and Northeast, New England Hatch Awards, The Creative Club of Boston, The New England Museum Association, The New England Prism Awards, The New England Printer’s Association, and International Paper.
Irene has 25 years experience in the advertising and graphic design industry. She began her career in London, England, working for Michael Peters Design; she moved to Boston in 1984. where she acquired her print production and project management skills. Irene has worked for some of the largest agencies in New England on both the advertising and graphic design side. She has been with Adams Design since 2005 and uses her supreme communication and organization skills to keep our projects moving through — fast, on time and within budget.
Strategist and Copywriter
Shelby has partnered with Brenda since 1990 in the dual capacity of writer and strategist. This reflects her unusual background; she holds an MBA in Marketing from the Darden School, University of Virginia, and has served in senior marketing positions for both agencies and consumer companies. As a writer, her versatility extends to all media and many industries, including real estate, health care and financial services. She is also well versed in the nuances of SEO and the ways words can powerup a website.
Brian K. Johnson
Brian has been creating interactive media since 2001. Even before the Internet was well known, he saw the potential in digital media, creating informational products in HyperCard and Macromedia Director. Prior to that, he spent seven years in traditional print-based design, giving him a keen sensitivity to the nuances of design and branding. Today, Brian is known for highly functional, user-friendly websites, smart phone applications and other creative applications of the latest technology.
Copy Editor and Proofreader
Cameron turns his eagle eye and proofing expertise on combatting pesky typos and awkward grammar when reviewing copy. His experience as a writer and journalist means his editing skills come highly valued. Since graduating from Boston College in 2011, Cameron has been a writer of all trades. He has reported entertainment and business news for the Boston Herald, covered the restaurant industry for various publications like Scene, and provided a precise editor’s eye on marketing projects for various companies throughout New England.
Andrew Berry brings 30 years of pre-press experience in the industry to the table. A true perfectionist, he has played an integral part in the execution of award-winning creative. Andrew has extraordinary skills in the art of typography, computer-aided design and illustration. He has extensive knowledge of software applications, hardware and systems maintenance. This expertise combined with his work ethic, attention to detail, and creativity, makes him a valuable member of the team.

Jenna joins the Adams Design team with over 10 years of digital marketing experience ranging from Simon Property Group to local Boston area businesses and non-profits. Focusing on Facebook and Instagram, Jenna offers our clients a thoughtful and customized approach to social media, from creating a social media strategy to full platform management.
Social Media Curator
Sandy brings 20+ years experience to Adams Design, working in corporate America in all stages; employee, manager, owner and client. With a strong background in photography and social media content, Sandy focuses on connecting the clients of Adams Design with their online brand in all social media platforms.
Sandy is currently the driving force behind the strategy for Adams Design’s own social media campaign and has been busy creating extraordinary content for all our online platforms.
Print Production Manager
Rebecca has worked with Brenda since 1996 on all of Adams Design’s print and packaging production. She has brainstormed with Brenda on many unique design ideas for large pieces of collateral including folders, boxes and brochures that require specialized printing and bindery. On one such project, she searched the country to find just the right color parts to create a custom tassel from pieces sewn together to achieve the perfect look for the Mandarin Oriental Residences box. She also worked with a box company to create a special, oversized die to deboss large areas on that box. Pushing the envelope is her specialty. Several of those projects over the past years have won top awards for design, print and finishing with the highest honors in the paper and printing industries.
