About this project
Rozzie is a new apartment community in Roslindale, one of Boston’s most established and locally defined neighborhoods. As one of the area’s few contemporary residential developments, the challenge was to introduce a modern living option without feeling imposed or disconnected from the surrounding community.
The challenge was to create a contemporary apartment brand that felt connected to the neighborhood rather than imposed upon it.
We built the identity around the name itself. Rozzie, a widely used nickname for Roslindale, carries warmth, personality, and immediate local recognition. The name signals belonging from the outset, positioning the building as part of the neighborhood rather than apart from it.
The logo’s modular “R” is constructed from stacked geometric forms that reflect the layered character, diversity, and architectural rhythm of the neighborhood. Bold but approachable, the mark was designed to function clearly across signage, leasing materials, environmental graphics, and digital applications.
A palette drawn directly from the building’s interiors, deep blue, warm gold, copper brown, and soft neutrals, creates continuity between brand and environment. Illustration and messaging reinforce Roslindale’s balance of urban access and green space, positioning Rozzie as contemporary and welcoming without losing its connection to place.
Across print, signage, and digital applications, the identity creates a recognizable and cohesive presence rooted in neighborhood character rather than generic multifamily conventions.
