About this project
Set within the Mandarin Oriental, Boston, the residences required more than a conventional luxury condominium identity. The brand needed to reflect the cultural depth, craftsmanship, and global prestige of the Mandarin Oriental name, while creating an experience that felt quieter, rarer, and more personal than the hotel itself.
Adams Design translated the Mandarin Oriental’s iconic fan and visual language into a bespoke residential expression rooted in artistry and materiality. Drawing on traditions of gifting and finely made objects, the identity emphasized texture, restraint, and symbolism.
A custom-embossed presentation box became the centerpiece of the sales experience, pairing intricate fan-inspired patterns, rich color, and tactile materials with editorial-style storytelling that connected Boston’s Back Bay to the brand’s Asian heritage. The digital experience echoed this sensibility, offering a refined, understated extension of the physical materials.
