The Maris — A new waterfront condominium brand
We’ve been working behind the scenes with TCC and the developer, Cathartes, on The Maris, a premier new condominium development located on the waterfront in Portsmouth. While the project isn’t yet featured in our portfolio, we wanted to share a look at the scope of work and the thinking behind this new brand.
From the outset, we were engaged to create the identity from the ground up. Our work included naming the project, designing the logo, and developing a cohesive visual language that could extend seamlessly across all touchpoints. The goal was to establish a brand that feels confident, refined, and deeply connected to its setting—on the water, yet fully part of the city.
The identity was designed to support the project from its earliest phases through launch and beyond. From construction scrim to an interim website, every element was thoughtfully considered to ensure consistency, clarity, and a strong first impression in the market. Messaging, visual tone, and layout were all crafted to convey both immediacy and longevity, setting the stage for a successful residential debut.
The Maris is positioned as full service, on the water and in the city, with residences scheduled to come to market in 2026. Our role was to help articulate that promise through a brand system that feels established from day one, while remaining flexible enough to evolve as the project moves toward completion.
