About the project
Newport ONE is an old friend of Adams Design. Over the years, we have seen this creative services agency through a name change, rebranding, and subsequent brand refresh. One of the country’s oldest direct response fundraising companies, Newport ONE’s name change and initial rebranding positioned the company as a one-stop, integrated service provider for non-profit organizations in industries such as health care and animal welfare.
“One” was clearly the focus in the messaging about the company’s capabilities, even actually embedded in the new name. But it was more. We extended the “one” idea to the importance of the work their clients were doing by using storytelling to talk about how “one can make a difference.” The use of illustration and a bright palette reinforced the concept.
Fast-forward to 2024. The brand refresh did not change the basic positioning, but Newport ONE had moved with the times, embracing new technologies and becoming, in addition to offering its traditional services, an unmatched provider of data-driven information and support for its clients.
It is clear in the new website. Animation replaces illustration. The look is clean, active, and contemporary. The messaging is spare and crisp. Beneath the up-to-date packaging and high-tech persona, however, is the same depth of expertise and commitment to helping Newport ONE clients make a difference in the world.
The simplified wordmark can be used against a black background on on it’s own on white.
We partnered with illustrator Christine Beauregard to create a series of ads, each highlighting a key client type with playful, imaginative visuals.
The new website was reworked to spotlight the services that Newport ONE could provide to clients as well as providing essential information for recruitment.
The refined identity gave Newport ONE a clear, unified presence, aligning its brand with its mission-driven work. Built around a single, powerful idea, the system strengthened recognition and positioned the firm as a focused, strategic partner helping nonprofits turn individual action into meaningful impact.
